Pursuant to the authority of Iowa Code section 272C.3(1) “k,” the board establishes the committee for the Iowa monitoring program for pharmacy professionals. The purpose of the committee is to provide a program to support the evaluation and monitoring of licensees who are impaired as a result of alcohol or drug abuse, dependency, or addiction, or by any mental or physical disorder or disability, while protecting the health, safety and welfare of the public.
