Section 657.23.14. Labeling of biologicals and other injectables supplied to a facility.

  • Labeling of biologicals and other injectables supplied to a facility for a health immunization or ongoing screening program, such as influenza vaccine, tuberculin skin test, or hepatitis-B, and intended for use in the facility, shall include the following information in addition to the manufacturer’s label. The pharmacy label shall be affixed so as not to obscure the manufacturer’s label.

            1.            Identification of pharmacy;

            2.            Name of facility;

            3.            Name of biological or drug;

            4.            Route of administration when necessary for clarification;

            5.            Strength of biological or drug;

            6.            Auxiliary labels as needed;

            7.            Date dispensed.
