Section 605.10.1. Program description.

The purpose of this program is to provide for the orderly development, installation, and operation of enhanced 911 emergency telephone systems and to provide a mechanism for the funding of these systems, either in whole or in part. These systems shall be operated under governmental management and control for the public benefit. These rules shall apply to each joint E911 service board or alternative 28E entity as provided in Iowa Code chapter 34A and to each provider of enhanced 911 service.
