Section 501.10.4. Standards for certification.

An applicant for certification to carry weapons as a reserve peace officer must be of good moral character and not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude. (See 501—subrule 2.1(5).) The offenses of domestic abuse and stalking or other offenses of domestic violence, and any offense in which a weapon was used in the commission, are crimes involving moral turpitude.
