Section 481.51.15. Orders other than medication.

All verbal orders must be authenticated by the ordering practitioner within a period not to exceed 30 days following a patient’s discharge. When verbal or electronic mechanisms are used to transmit orders, the orders must be accepted only by personnel who are authorized to accept them by hospital policies and procedures in a manner consistent with federal and state law.
