The Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act of 1993, P.L. 103-75, appropriated funds in response to flooding along the Mississippi River and its tributaries. A portion of these funds has been awarded to the state of Iowa for the community services block grant (CSBG) flood relief program. This program is intended to support services as authorized by the Community Services Block Grant Act, P.L. 97-35, for individuals and families directly affected by the flood disaster.
