This chapter establishes the elder abuse prevention initiative as a method of providing prevention, intervention, detection, and reporting of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older individuals and of providing service options for at-risk older adults. This chapter also establishes criteria for certifying trainers to provide dependent adult abuse mandatory reporter training.
